The electric motor raises and lowers the sling, and is operated by a handheld control box with push buttons. Sideways movement is manual. It will fit most two and four door vehicles. There is a range of slings available to suit different people. This hoist is designed for use getting into and out of a vehicle, and also for use around the home – to help getting into a bed or bath for example. There’s an optional folding wheeled mounting base with battery pack which will allow the hoist to be used away from the vehicle. (£1,095 including the battery pack and charger).
The lift arm weighs 12kg, and is powered by the vehicle battery.
