The DLF provides advice and information on all aspects of disability
equipment. They have a database of products and suppliers with details
of conversions, hoists and lifting equipment, car seats, vehicles for
hire, vehicle accessories and much else. It’s always worth contacting
them.

The DMF is an umbrella organisation for disabled motorists’ clubs.
It provides information to individuals about travel, including advice
on vehicles and modifications. The Way Ahead, a quarterly newsletter,
is free to members, costs £2.50 (including p & p) to non members.
Affiliated membership is available costing £12 a year.

mobility. They can help you find local assessment centres, driving instructors
and test drives.

Charity formed from a merger between the Disabled Drivers’
Association and the Disabled Drivers’ Motor Club. It aims to promote
the personal mobility and welfare of disabled people. Members have access

It is a voluntary organisation of engineers who design and manufacture
devices for people when nothing exists on the market to solve their particular
