Buying second hand

You can buy converted vehicles second-hand. Look for advertisements in Disability Now and other newspapers and newsletters produced by disability organisations. The Disabled Living Foundation have a list of magazines which have ads for second hand equipment.

Disability Equipment Register

They have a monthly magazine which advertises secondhand equipment including adapted cars. A six month subscription costs £12. Or you can search their web site free www.disabilityequipment.org.uk.


www.justmobility.co.uk

A website about mobility. You can buy or sell secondhand adapted vehicles. It costs £30 to place an ad, which will be displayed (with up to two photographs) for at least 4 months. In addition they sell secondhand mobility products and placing advertisments for these is free. They also have information on the Mobility Roadshow, Shopmobility schemes and travel and holidays.
