The following summaries give details of all the powered chair hoists
available in the UK at the time of publishing (August 2002). The information
was provided by manufacturers and suppliers, the units were not tested.
In particular the information relating to the type of vehicle which
a hoist can be fitted to is intended as general guidance only. Always
check that your chair will fit into a specific. It may not be possible
to use a hoist with large wheelchairs or scooters if the vehicle has
a small boot or if a saloon has a boot which does not open very far.
