How it works
A motor slides the box across the roof so it is above
the car door. A hook is lowered and is attached by hand to the wheelchair.
The chair is winched up into the box, which moves back to its travelling
position. The footplates did not have to be removed. The hoist worked
smoothly and the chair needed little steadying – it was possible
to stow the chair without having to touch it. Less leaning out was needed
with this hoist.
