The Alfred Bekker Backpacker is a platform lift for an unoccuped wheelchair or scooter.
The Backpacker will load an unfolded wheelchair or scooter. It will fit into various vehicles including MPV/people carriers, 4x4s, estates, hatchbacks and vans – with some you’ll need to remove the rear seats. The platform measures 68cm x 119cm so your wheelchair would have to fit onto this space. The height available for the chair will depend on the vehicle it is fitted to.
The lift needs some room in the vehicles (it is122cm long and
119cm wide. It has a pillar which is 99cm high).
