Air vented driers

The Miele T490 was very easy to load and unload and the controls were easy to use. It also had a sensor which allows you to set the level of dryness you want. It also did very well in Which? performance tests but it is expensive.

The Whirlpool AWZ121 had a very wide opening door for easy loading and the controls were easy to set with labelling that was reasonably easy to see.

Condenser driers

The Creda T602CW was easy to load and unload and had controls that were reasonably easy to use, with reasonable labelling. It was a Which? Best Buy. The AEG 56600 (£500) also had some easy to use features and sensor drying; it performed well but it is expensive

Compact air vented driers

The White Knight 312WV (£300) was reasonably easy to use and did well in Which? performance tests.
