Introduction

Toasters come in different shapes and styles – to suit any taste and any kitchen. There’s a big difference in price too, from less than £10 to more than £100. This report will help you find one that’s easy to use.

This guide is one of a series looking at domestic appliances. We tested 29 toasters, to find out how easy they are to use for people with painful or limited grip, limited reach, reduced strength or poor sight.

The summaries give test results and list the features each toaster has. The guide to the summaries gives more details of these features. This will help you to compare the models which have features important to you. The Buying Guide picks out the toasters which came out best in our ease of use tests.
