Quick checklist for kettles
Which is more comfortable for you, a jug or a traditional kettle?
- Look at the handles on both types
- Think about the weight of the kettle with water in it
- Can you fill the kettle through the spout easily
- Does the lid come off and go on easily
Do you want a cordless or corded kettle?
- Corded kettles need to be plugged in and unplugged which can be tricky
- What about a kettle tipper? - these can't be used with cordless kettles
Look at the buttons and the indicators on the kettle
- Is there a water level indicator and is it easy to see
- Are the buttons visible clearly or easy to feel, can you tell if
the kettle is on or off
Think about safety
- Are there any sharp edges on the lid
- Does steam leak out from the top when it boils
- Does the outside or the handle get hot
