Feeding systems

These are bottle sets which come with handles and trainer spouts as well as a teat, so you can use them beyond the teat stage. Most of these were in wide-necked versions. Handles may help if you find it difficult to hold an ordinary bottle for long periods. You can also buy separate handles. Avoid the solid ones - our panel found them the least helpful.

PROS

  • The additional handles allow you to hold on to the bottle with less need to grip
  • If your baby likes the bottle, you will not need to buy a set of trainer cups and you may find the lids easier to get on and off.

CONS

  • The additional handles may just get in the way if you can use only one hand or have no problems gripping
  • The instructions can be a bit confusing at first.
