Bottles, warmers and sterilisers (view report contents)Bottle warmer buying guideDo you need a bottle warmer at all? Generally the standard warmers we assessed were rather small and unstable so could be easily knocked over. None was particularly easy to use and you might find using a jug of hot water just as good, from a flask when you are out and about. You could buy a small travel kettle to save going to the kitchen for night feeds and if your domestic hot water is hot enough, you won’t even need to boil a kettle. If you are worried about the milk temperature, you could use the bottles with a heat sensor. Some people do find bottle warmers very useful and if you are convinced you want one, there was not much to choose between the Avent, Babytec, Boots, Bruin, Mothercare or Philips models, though the Babytec was more stable than the others. The Lindam Night and Day system could be useful. The following sections provide more detail about bottle warmers, including the pros and cons of different types.
