However, a survey of disabled parents showed that feeding equipment caused problems for nearly six in ten with poor strength, poor grip or poor sight. Even if you decide to breastfeed, you may well find yourself buying some feeding bottles in your baby’s first year. When you start to look at baby feeding equipment, you may well be bewildered by the range and types available. This guide covers a wide range, bought in shops and by mail order. In total we assessed:
The products were assessed by an advisory panel for ease of use, taking into account limited strength and grip, one handedness, poor sight and learning difficulties. The guide should help you to find feeding equipment that will be easier to use whatever your ability. This guide was first published in 2002, however contact, product and price details were updated in 2007.
