Pedals
Some people can use adapted pedals. Pedals can be power assisted to reduce the effort needed to use them or can be made to work with a very small movement. Their size, position and shape can sometimes be altered and they can be extended to bring them nearer.
Floor raiser
The floor raiser in this picture provides a platform to help you reach the pedals. If it's not required, it folds out of the way. It is also available is a removeable pad which is secured to the floor with Velcro.
Foot rests can be fitted where you need them and can be shaped to suit you. A guard to keep your foot in place can be made if there is any danger of it interfering with the pedals accidentally. From car converters, most cost from about £66-£155.
Pedal extenders
These Pedal-Pal pedal extenders clamp onto the original pedals to bring them closer to the driver. They are available from adaptation firms and cost from around £65 for a set plus fitting.
Flip up left foot accelerator
The picture shows a flip up left foot accelerator. Drivers who cannot use their right foot may find it easier with a left foot accelerator. This system from Brig-Ayd Controls lets you choose whether to use a left or right foot accelerator. Cost from around £350.
Organ pedal

An organ pedal may help, here the floor has been raised, too.
Pedal guards

Pedal guards stop pedals being pressed accidently essential if you cannot control your feet or if you cannot feel if you are touching the pedals. They can be removed easily. The two shown here are from Alfred Bekker.
